Last Year we experienced such ‘problems’ with securing Life Cover for My Husband that I had given up with the seemingly unfair ‘underwriting system’ for this level of cover for a person over the age of 60 – healthy, working and active I hasten to add but whom had suffered from sporadic bouts of ‘bronchitis’ since a child.

By the time Contact Insurance called me last November I was extremely disillusioned with the Insurance Industry in general and sceptical that Contact Insurance could come up with ‘anything’ that would be fair and acceptable.

However, wonderful Kate Tweedle and her colleague Ann were amazing and completely saved the day because through their consistent research and determined input we secured an extremely good Life Cover for a reasonable and fair cost.

I know that this was not an ‘easy’ process!

Kate was a total professional and did exactly what she said she would do – the telephone contact was constant – the ‘paperwork’ arrived promptly – the ‘procedure’ worked extremely well being so easy to understand and Kate and Ann were always available to answer the queries and provide guidance when requested.

I even received a ‘follow up’ call from Nick Jones of your Client Relations Department who kindly offered advice regarding putting the Policy into ‘Trust’ – an option we did not know anything about and one which we are about to activate through your goodselves.

When I responded to an internet generated sales proposal you can imagine I was a little sceptical as to whether this was a legitimate source for competitve cover, given that I have had a financial adviser for some years, who I have tended to use for these tasks.

To cut a long story short, the two girls, Kirsten [client administrator] and Katie [insurance consultant] are a credit to your company. They have battled for months to secure an end result that was not an easy task, (given my age particularly). Their patience with obtaining 2 sets of medical reports from my wife’s and my GP, together with their tenacity in not giving-up after potential rejection from L&G was an object lesson in never giving up.

Both girls have been a pleasure to talk to on the phone, accurate and punctilious with telephone and email communications and most valuable of all, everything was completed when appropriate with a real sense of humour, which has turned what could be a rather dry and boring exercise into an enjoyable experience.
